President Trump likes politicians and candidates who support his Make America Great Again agenda, although without specifics that could be anything and shifting.
He is supporting Roy Moore, the Alabama Senate candidate, even though he is under fire for alleged sexual misconduct with teenage girls when he was in his 30s, because he supports that agenda and was very clear on what made America great in the past when he stated,
“I think it was great at the time when families were united—even though we had slavery—they cared for one another…Our families were strong, our country had a direction.”
It would seem that America was great when certain people could benefit from its promise while we enslaved other human beings and broke up their families through the inter-plantation selling of slaves.
He also longs for the days when women knew and kept their place staying out of work beyond the home and staying out of politics, Gays had to hide in the closet, and Christianity, his version of it anyway, was THE religion and Muslims were found only in Euro-centric histories of the Crusades,
At least we have his definition of MAGA which, apparently, Trump likes.
