The congressional investigation of the alleged wiretapping of Trump Tower by President Obama should be the shortest such investigations in the history of such investigations.
It will consist of one question and one answer.
The President said he had been told that the tapping was done.
“Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!”
He previously claimed publicly that “sources” need to be named.
Taking those two statements into account, the investigation should go like this:
President Donald Trump will sit either in a hearing committee setting, or, like in the case of President Clinton, in a room with a video feed, and be asked,
“Who told you about the wire tapping?”
And with the answer to that question the person who should be spoken with will be.
It will be quick, inexpensive, and will not involve multiple operatives.
Simple.
