Once upon a time there was a president whose opposition demanded he do something about people from foreign countries sneaking into theirs.
They didn’t care that these were people with no other choice than to migrate for the sake of bettering their families’ conditions, to escape from war or drug cartel controlled towns which means a lot of innocent people getting killed, because their ancestors had lived for centuries free of the artificial borders that political entities declare when they take over someone else’s territory, or found themselves living in different countries with different borders even though they had never moved.
So the president’s allies and opposition passed an immigration bill in the Senate, but his opposition in the House refused to even discuss it, so it died. They could have made changes and they could have improved it to their way of thinking, but, instead decided to do nothing.
The president then asked his opposition to come up with something they would like, but they refused to do that, instead demanding that the president do something.
So, he did.
He signed an Executive Order, something presidents do, and others did more often than this president has done.
But then his opposition got angry because the president did what they told him to do. He did something when they had refused to anything but had demanded he do something.
Now they call him a tyrant.
