Their Twitter account made the claim that it is

Lion’s Guard also claims that while being unarmed, they are “willing to forcefully protect people if need be.”

In spite of their rationale being to protect innocents from the violent left, Trump supporters are the one who have beaten a black man to the ground, fought Chicago protesters on the streets in an all-out riot while police who were guarding Trump have pepper sprayed protesters standing peacefully on the sidewalk along with those who were simply looking on, pushed a Black woman around as she was led out of an arena and spit on people that were silently protesting.

No one seems interested in protecting innocent and peaceful protesters from the Trump encouraged violence of his supporters.
