People claim that the Tea Party and the GOP live in a bubble. But you can see out of a bubble, and that means you can see what others see.
They live, instead, in a rolling hamster ball that has been painted opaque, so they do not see what others outside can see.
The rest of the world knows that on the day of his first inauguration, the GOP met to see what they could do to thwart President Obama for whom we voted, the one they did not want to win. Even though the GOP ignores the fact, the rest of the world saw that.
In 2010 when they gained some success by convincing the easily misled that President Obama’s policies were failing and they did well in the first mid-term election, and announced their number one priority was to make Obama a one term president, the rest of the world saw that too.
The rest of the world also saw the improvements taking place after the disaster that was Bush, even as the GOP did not acknowledge that.
The rest of the world saw that if the GOP had actually been doing what “The American People want”, Obama would not have been re-elected.
They saw the lies that had led to the war in Iraq and stayed out of it, so the rest of the world saw Obama doing the best anyone could to clean up that mess.
The rest of the world also saw that the GOP made an end run around the president so that Netanyahu could self-servingly speak against President Obama’s diplomacy when it came to Iran.
They saw the GOP’s chain of actions that treated the president as no other president had ever been treated, and they saw what had actually happened in the past, and was happening in the present, even as the GOP wanted desperately to believe no other country saw what was so plain to see.
They saw the letter that the 47 senators sent to Iran’s leadership telling them to ignore what the president was doing.

The tag line, “If it’s Sunday, it’s Meet the Press”, seems to have become, “if It’s Sunday, It’s Lindsey Graham”. He is on the talk shows almost every Sunday with an opinion on everything and everyone.
On Face the Nation this past Sunday, when asked about the agreement arrived at between the U.S., England, Germany, China, France, Russia, and Iran, Graham said:
“What I would suggest is if you can’t get there with this deal is to keep the interim deal in place, allow a new president in 2017, Democrat or Republican, take a crack at the Iranian nuclear program. Obama is a flawed negotiator. His foreign policy has failed on multiple fronts.
Nobody in the region trusts him. The Iranians do not fear, respect him, so he’ll never be able to get the best deal. The best deal will come with a new president. Hillary Clinton would do better. I think everybody on our side, with the exception of Rand Paul, could do better, so that’s one way of looking at this program”.
He didn’t even notice that as he was following the misrepresenting the president script, he was also insulting the other countries involved in the negotiation, three who are our allies, and two we are trying to win over.
He also suggested that Obama stop doing his job and just sit the next one and a half years out and just keep the presidential seat warm for the next guy.
It’s none of the other countries who is disrespecting President Obama, the rest of the world knows it is the Republican Party.
And, in spite of what the GOP, and Lindsey Graham specifically, wants to believe the rest of the world believes, the rest of the world sees that President Obama is doing the best a person can in spite of the obstruction, and how childish the GOP has been and continues to be.
The president is not bringing disrespect upon himself and the United States, the GOP is piling it on him and us.
And, the rest of the world sees that.
