Whenever there is an act of terrorism, the first response is to blame Muslims, even before any facts are known, and if it does turn out a Muslim or more than one Muslim is involved, the second response is to ask why moderate Muslims don’t decry the act. But since the perpetrators looked like most Europeans, the reaction dissipated quickly.

When the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City was blown up by an avowed Christian, the original assessments by all the experts was that it was definitely the act of Muslims. When the truth became known, not only did the moderate Christians not decry him as a Christian, but they erected a statue of the God he worshiped right at the site.

Pastors and politicians rail about the imaginary threat of Sharia Law taking over our courts, but while condemning that Muslims’s personal lives have to subscribe to Sharia, they have no problem with Catholics’ personal lives being controlled by canon law, or that Southern Baptists’ lives are controlled by decisions made by the Southern Baptist Convention. And there certainly seems to be no problem with politicians who propose and support laws that are based on their Christian religion. If they do not accept abortion on religious grounds, they should not get any, but they certainly shouldn’t tell those who do not belong to their religion that they have to abide by their religion’s belief.

They seek and get laws passed that allow them to be able to ignore the laws of the United States because of their Christian religious beliefs.
