Can’t stop believin’

This Saturday two events will be happening simultaneously on the steps of the State House.
In claiming that the GLBT Community in the majority supports his father, Eric Trump told “Fox & Friends”,
“The LGBT community, they are incredible. And you should see how they come out in full force for my father every single day. I’m part of that community, and we love the man,” Eric Trump said on the Fox News morning show.
He not only came out as one of us, but he emphasized his inclusion by the use of “WE” instead of “THEY”.
I know many Gay men and women who, because they grew up in the past with few sources of information, followed what society required, got married, perhaps had children, and when their true selves could no longer stay hidden, had some difficult talks with their spouse and kids and first let their family accept or reject what they accepted about themselves after years of struggle. But I never met someone who, rather than speak to his or her family, went on national television so that Lara, his wife since 2014, got the news at the same time as the world did, but without that necessary and decent, respectful conversation between husband and wife.
Obviously the big tent that beqan simply as Gay, then became Gay and Lesbian, then Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender to become LGBT, while also taking on Intersexed, Non-Binary, and many other forms of gender as they are accepted as part of the human experience, but rejected by those who are comfortable with the world that gives them advantage and refuse new information. But even a big tent has it’s boundary, and the GLBT Community will fight to the last person to prevent the addition of an “E” for Eric.
Just reviewing the history of Gay People, even if only within the United States, fighting for, getting some, and now fearing a loss of many of the rights with which the Creator endowed us and for which we should not have had to fight with the upcoming make up of the Supreme Court, have enough dealing with those oppressions laid on it by others without the self-afflicted wound of adding an “E” for Eric to all the other letters.
The rally to protest Eric’s forcing himself on the Gay Community is scheduled for noon, but those who are habituated to GST (Gay Standard Times), will be allowed without
comment to arrive at the same time as the curtains rise for a Broadway matinee. Also gathering at the same time in an area designated to take place within a nearby temporarily constructed ring, will be members of the Harlequin Community upset that after centuries of entertaining billions while at the same time being feared as the worst thing to encounter on a dark street has had Donald Trump forced upon them.
After wading through the constant interruptions, name calling, and the continuous stream of lies Trump threw out during the first presidential debate, Biden simply asked the audience,
“Do you have any idea what this clown is doing?”
Clowns, too, feel their struggle has been long, draining, and tough enough without Trump being forced on them, possibly resulting in further oppression and misunderstanding.
Both groups are being asked for the sake of the overworked capitol maintenance crew to leave their glitter guns at home and, because of COVID wear masks and practice social distancing.
Participants are requested to car pool as parking in the capitol city is expensive, and the fewer cars required to bring all participants the less each passenger will have to pony up with money for parking, and will make finding the few free parking spots in the nearby neighborhoods without unduly inconveniencing the residents an easier proposition.
